Vyomkriti Club

About Vyomkriti
Vyomkriti is the official Aeromodelling Club of the National Institute of Technology Delhi. The club functions as a student-driven technical body focused on the design, development, and testing of aerospace systems, offering practical exposure beyond classroom learning.
Overview
The word Vyomkriti, derived from Sanskrit, translates to “Creation of the Sky”. It symbolizes the club’s vision to transform theoretical aerospace knowledge into real, functional systems. Founded by enthusiastic students, the club promotes a culture of innovation, discipline, and engineering rigor.
Members work in multidisciplinary teams covering aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, avionics, embedded systems, and control algorithms. Emphasis is placed on hands-on fabrication, simulation, testing, and iterative improvement.
Through participation in national competitions, internal projects, and live demonstrations, students gain exposure to real-world engineering constraints such as reliability, safety, efficiency, and performance optimization.

Domains of Work
Vyomkriti actively undertakes projects across a wide spectrum of aerospace domains. These include multirotor UAVs, fixed-wing aircraft, RC trainers, autonomous delivery platforms, and experimental rocket systems. Each project follows a structured engineering workflow from concept to testing.
- Multirotor and autonomous UAV design
- Fixed-wing aircraft and RC plane development
- Rocket design, propulsion, and recovery systems
- Embedded avionics and flight control software
- AI-based surveillance and counter-drone concepts
Learning, Research & Innovation
Beyond fabrication, the club encourages members to explore advanced aerospace concepts such as swarm intelligence, autonomous navigation, missile guidance principles, and control theory. Simulations, hardware prototyping, and field testing form the backbone of the learning process.
