NIT Delhi's Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell was initiated by the Ministry of Education. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan cell at NIT Delhi focuses on promoting rural development by fulfilling basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, sanitation, health care, energy, livelihood, transportation, and education of rural people from time to time.
NIT Delhi not only provides rural India with access to the professional resources but also initiates a new dialogue within rural India on science, society, and the environment whenever required. Summing up, NIT Delhi's UBA cell constantly looks forward to the growth, progress and development of villages which stand like the backbone of our country.

Youth Empowerment: Fostering Social Change
In rural India, there's a big gap between how cities develop and how rural areas do. This happens because the government's plans don't always reach the far-off villages. With so many people in the country, it's hard to make plans that help everyone. We need to work together - the government, schools, businesses, and the community - to come up with plans that work for everyone.
By working together, we can design and implement effective models that address technological, social, and administrative challenges in rural areas. This collaborative approach ensures that initiatives reach even the most remote parts of the country, fostering holistic development and ensuring that no one is left behind in India's journey towards progress.
